From the historic streets of Munich to the majestic cities of Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava, you’ll cycle scenic routes and return to the luxury of your river cruise ship each evening. This tour is ideal for cyclists of all levels and includes a personal tour coordinator to ensure a seamless and memorable experience.
Itinerary
Day 1: August 29 – Arrive in Munich
- Arrive at Munich Airport and walk to the Hilton Munich Airport, conveniently located within the airport complex.
- Check-in available after 2 PM. Early arrivals can leave luggage at the front desk and unwind with a swim, sauna, steam bath, massage, or nap at the spa and pool area.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing in your room or dining at one of the hotel’s restaurants.
Day 2: August 30 – Munich to Passau
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing mid-morning by bus to Passau.
- Arrive in Passau, leave luggage on the boat, and explore the city with a guided food and walking tour.
- Return to the boat at 4:00 PM for check-in.
- Dinner onboard as the boat sets sail from Passau at 7:00 PM.
Day 3: August 31 – Engelhartszell to Aschach
- Arrive in Engelhartszell at 10:00 PM the previous evening.
- Depart Engelhartszell at 10:00 AM and cruise to Aschach, arriving at 1:30 PM.
- Depart Aschach at 3:30 PM.
Day 4: September 1 – Vienna
- Arrive in Vienna (Nussdorf) at 8:00 AM.
- Spend the day exploring this historic city before departing at 6:00 PM.
Day 5: September 2 – Budapest
- Arrive in Budapest at 10:00 AM.
- Discover the charm of Hungary’s capital city, with its stunning architecture and vibrant culture.
Day 6: September 3 – Budapest to Visegrád
- Depart Budapest at 2:00 AM.
- Arrive in Visegrád at 7:00 AM and explore this picturesque riverside town. Depart at 3:00 PM.
Day 7: September 4 – Bratislava
- Arrive in Bratislava at 9:30 AM.
- Stroll through the charming streets of Slovakia’s capital before departing at 3:00 PM.
Day 8: September 5 – Rossatz/Dürnstein to Pöchlarn
- Arrive in Rossatz/Dürnstein at 8:00 AM and depart at 9:30 AM.
- Continue to Pöchlarn, arriving at 2:30 PM and departing at 3:30 PM.
Day 9: September 6 – Passau to Munich
- Arrive in Passau at 11:00 AM and disembark at approximately 11:30 AM.
- Travel by bus to Munich and check into your hotel in the city center.
- Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, exploring Munich’s vibrant attractions.
Day 10: September 7 – Departure or Extended Stay
- Enjoy breakfast and check out at your leisure.
- Proceed to Munich Airport for your return flight or extend your stay in Munich or elsewhere in Europe.
