Next, we will visit a family-run bee keeping company established in 1960. In ancient Greece, bees held a revered role and beekeeping was a primary occupation for the people of Eleusis. Enjoy the afternoon walking through peanut and eucalyptus trees, as well as ancient olives trees. We will enjoy sampling over 14 rare and authentic Greek premium honey varieties, honeycomb, bee pollen, royal jelly and many other bee products.
This evening will be free, upon arrival back in Athens.

Later on, we will enjoy an interactive experience with the amazing world of bees. Here we will have a close up look into the culture and the real spirit of Greece, combining local life, honey and beekeeping as it is done for thousands of years. A specially made apiary where one can watch and learn about the bee’ s life and how this is bound to our culture. We will then dress up in beekeeping suits and head to the beehives where the magic life of the bees unfolds in front of our eyes. Watch the bees working, hold the frames, open the hive, use the tools and enjoy time with the bees.
Day 4: Hike the Ancient Delphi and visit archaeological site and museum
Today we will follow a downhill path and a rural road from Delphi to the edge of Chrisso village. The ancient city of Crissa hosted the visitors of the oracle. As we follow the ancient pilgrims footsteps, we will find ourselves in the heart of the famous Crisaean olive grove, a UNESCO location. This unique landscape is composed of more than 1.5 million olive trees. Here we will enjoy this unique scenery of the silver-green foliage of the olive trees. The changing colors of these centennial trees depend on the time of the day. Here we will savor a delicious olive snack in the shade of an old chapel. We will learn how olives are cultivated and why the olive tree is a worldwide symbol of immortality, wisdom and abundance.
Before our day is through, we will visit the ancient Delphi Site and Museum.
Day 5: Depart for Zagori Region – Local Honey Production Workshop
Today we will transfer to the Zagori region. Here we will visit a local honey production workshop in the Katsika Zagori region. Day 7: Hike Vikos Gorge
Today, we will enjoy a hike in the Vikos Gorge, part of the Vikos-Aoos National Park. Listed in the Guinness book of records, as the deepest canyon worldwide in proportion to its width. It is definitely a magnificent sight! It is accessible from several points, including the gravity-defying cliff-face monastery of Agia Paraskevi at its southern end and the ridge-top village of Vikos at the other.
The Vikos Gorge was formed over millions of years by the Voidomatis River, which is a branch of the Aoös River. As the river cuts through the mountain, its slopes reveal limestone and dolomite rock formations that date back 150 million years. The gorge’s sheer cliffs tower up to 5,577 feet high.
